Author: It is quite hard for a son to make his own name if his father is very popular and has achieved so many things in his lifetime. The son will always be forever linked to his father every time there is an achievement made by the former. There are those that are quite unwarranted but it is not inevitable. Instead of it being a blessing, it is becoming more of a curse for the son having a father that is very successful.
Bob Gerberg Jr.’s father, Robert J. Gerberg Sr., was a very successful individual in his own right. The elder Gerberg was an author of numerous job hunting books as well as programs that was a big hit throughout the world. To date, there are more than seven million copies of books and programs in circulation in the world. Achieving what his father was able to achieve would be quite hard for the younger Gerberg but he never thought of those things growing up. Instead of focusing on what his popular father attained, Bob Gerberg Jr. created his own path towards who he is right now. Every success of Bob Gerberg today can be solely attributed to him alone. His father did not have to do with his success.
The company that Bob Gerberg owns, the Advanced Career Technologies, Ltd., is a result of his hard work and dedication in his previous work experience. Throughout his entire professional career, Bob Gerberg Jr. has been repeatedly compared to his father but it did not stop him from doing his thing. He became a top area producer in a company he worked for before due to his skills and knowledge. He was able to help in the development of new products for that company on his own.
Comparisons between Bob Gerberg and his father grew when the former worked in a publishing house that his father uses in printing his books. It did not hinder the young Gerberg from performing to the best of his abilities despite all the talks of him being a copycat of his father.
Bob Gerberg Jr. has trumped all “Like father, like son” comparisons by working his tails off and doing things on his own. His father is an author while he is a leader in pioneering and developing business services that are technology-based. What Bob Gerberg has been getting from the people is quite unwarranted but he cannot avoid it. He created his own path which ended all those talks.
